Janlaw G. Minor

Janlaw G. Minor is the Founder and President of Advising Angels. With nearly 30 years of legal and corporate experience, Janlaw has learned firsthand that a company’s success begins with its people.  Her leadership expertise and employment law acumen has served as the cornerstone for building strong, human resource performance in industries ranging from defense, manufacturing and financial services. 

Prior to founding Advising Angels, she was co-founder of the New England Benefits Alliance (NEBA), an alliance of independent financial and insurance professionals representing financial companies in the New England area.

Her corporate tenure includes serving as Vice President, Human Resources and Administration for a division of United Technologies Corporation, a global aerospace–industrial conglomerate and Vice President, Labor Relations and Employment Ligation for a division of Tenneco Inc, a diversified global manufacturer. She has expertise in the formulation, negotiation, execution, and management of large corporate strategies. 

She was formerly on the Board of Directors of Hospice of the North Shore, Evanston, IL and the Raymond Foundation, literacy foundation for at-risk children.

She holds a B.A. in Economics and B.A. in Psychology and J.D. from the University of Illinois.
